Creative Cash Seminar

Have you got a creative business idea or project that needs cash to make it happen? Wondering how to approach all the different kinds of finance available from crowd funding to loans? Need some guidance as to what road to go down to make sure you don't drive off a cliff?? Then you need to attend the Creative Cash lunchtime seminar on February 6th at Barnsley Digital Media Centre.

Hosted by Enterprising Barnsley's Creative and Digital Industries Sector Specialist Tracey Johnson, this lunch event will include presentations that address the reality of business and project funding in the creative industries in a climate where grant funding is hard to come by.

Bookable one to one sessions are available after the main event to discuss your project or idea in more detail.

If you have anything from a music, film, book or product idea through to a new business idea then you need to attend.

Presentations include an overview of Creative Industry Finance, by Mary-Alice Stack, Chief Executive of Creative Sector Services an innovative Arts Council initiative providing business support and loans for small creative businesses; an overview of the Government's Start Up Loans and how they can work for new creative businesses by Damian Baetens of Transmit Consultancy; plus the skinny on crowdfunding including Kickstarter, Indiegogo and more, exploring whether it is a viable way to finance your ideas.

Speakers will be supported by case studies from companies who have accessed this finance so you can get an honest picture of what's involved and what impact this support and finance could have on your business.

A buffet lunch and refreshments will be served.
