Label Panel with Dead Young, Hide & Seek and Destroy All Records

A FREE informal panel with three of Leeds' best independent record label at the Leeds music Hub, Thursday 4th April at 7.15pm

Hide & Seek began as an outlet to release compilation CDs to accompany Gloucestershire's much loved 2000 Trees Festival, these housed well-known names such as Frank Turner, British Sea Power and Future of the Left alongside local, undiscovered acts. Several years later they turned their attention towards releasing the material of two of their favourite Leeds artists, Sam Airey and Dancing Years. In 2013, Department M were added to the roster. Hide & Seek have also promoted many gigs in Leeds and Sheffield, featuring the likes of Willy Mason, Anais Mitchell, Allo Darlin', and Roddy Woomble.

Since 2007, Dave Jackson and Marcus Clarke have been stewing in the gumbo pot of weirdo rock that Leeds is most famous for and, after putting on many gigs through Destroy All Monsters and meeting and watching countless inspirational bands, they've decided to give back to their adopted city by forming a record label. Destroy All Records is Leeds’ newest independent record label with hopes to become the next major output for alternative, experimental left-field sounds.

Dead Young was formed by young, original and creative minds frustrated at the void between major label sheen and DIY ethos. Passionate about not only working with the finest, most exciting new music, but giving it the care and attention to detail it deserves. DYRecords ~ A Love Supreme (now The Loud), Jonjo Feather, The Cubical, Lucid Dream, Yucatan, Gringo Star, Paul Thomas Saunders, We//Are//Animal, Dead Sons, We Were Frontiers, Witch Hunt.
