Creative Industry Finance available in the Yorkshire and Humber region

Arts Council England has launched its Creative Industry Finance programme in Yorkshire and Humber region.

Through this new partnership programme between ACE and the Key Fund, applications are open now to small to medium sized enterprises within the cultural and creative industries in the Yorkshire and Humber region, with loans available of between £5,000 to £25,000

Applications are open to small to medium sized creative enterprises of every variety; sole trader or social enterprise, partnership or not for profit. If original creative content is at the heart of a business then this programme may help. Creative Industry Finance supports artists, writers, performers, designers, producers, promoters and publishers to increase their business skills and grow their business with access to loan finance.

Creative Industry Finance is a one-year pilot programme, delivered by the Arts Council‚Äôs trading company (ArtCo Trading Ltd) in partnership with the Key Fund ‚Äď a not for profit organisation who will be providing the programme‚Äôs specialist business support and lending services.

Loans will range from £5,000-£25,000, repayable over one, two or three years at an APR of 10 per cent. It is envisaged that Creative Industry Finance loans will be most useful in providing financial support where businesses have been unable to obtain lending elsewhere.

The programme will also provide practical advice and support for creative entrepreneurs wishing to develop and grow their business as a commercial enterprise, and will enable them to attract further investment and become sustainable businesses.

Information on how to apply to the Creative Industry Finance programme can be found at the dedicated website www.creativeindustryfinance.org.uk
